Use of the Meeting House has been impacted by the pandemic. We are working to restart regular hirers where risks can be appropriately managed. We are unlikely to accept one off bookings and those seeking to hire will need to prepare a risk assessment of their proposed activities.
We have hosted community groups, small concerts, training events, workshops, one off meetings, regular carers groups etc. We have flexible modern furniture allowing multiple different set ups to suit your needs.
Please see our current Rates.
You can hire the whole Meeting House or alternatively just take the Main Meeting Room or the three smaller side rooms separately. All lettings include access to the kitchen. Please note our terms & conditions.
You can make bookings and ask questions via roomhire@eppingquakers.org
Very limited parking is available with space for around three or four cars only (there are more details on the location page).
The Meeting House has full disabled access with a ramp and disabled toilet. There is a hearing loop in the Main Meeting Room.
Main Meeting Room
The main meeting room (hall) is just under 6 metres by 6 metres and is accessed via a large lobby area. There is a door to the garden.

There is a slightly raised area opposite the doors which can be used as a small stage. There are a variety of chairs with and without arms. You can seat around fifty people in a concert layout.
The main meeting room has blinds to allow control of light levels and that you could potentially project onto.
There is plenty of space for committee meetings, society AGMs or other functions
Side Rooms
This series of rooms are around 3 metres wide. Side Room 1 is around 5 metres long and opens off the lobby. A small table can be set up in this bright space for discussions.
Along one wall of this room is our Library reflecting Quaker interests. You are very welcome to browse.
There is then a small room that links through to the third room by the garden. Much enlarged in our recent refurbishment and forming a handy breakout space. This photo is looking back towards the first side room.
It is full of light from the skylight
Finally there is Side Room 3 which is also around 5 metres long and has access to the garden. A white board is available for taking notes.
Kitchen
All lettings include access to the kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, kettles for making hot drinks and plenty of cups, plates and so on. The kitchen is not suitable for the preparation of food which is then sold to the public.
Garden
To the rear of the Meeting House is a peaceful fully enclosed garden. This is available to hirers to enjoy with plenty of room for children to play. The grass area is generally left longer in the middle as a meadow.
We are currently working to enhance this space so bear with us!
